Each day of your week is different. New tasks keep on coming to the surface and there are some reserved slots for some fixed days as well. So it becomes almost a routine for you to prepare yourself a to-do list almost every night before sleeping so that you wake up prepared for the next day. In fact, even before a holiday, you have to make a list of the items you have to pick up for the picnic. So a to-do list is a must have in such conditions but then the question comes, which one? The App Store is flooded with so many options that you get baffled up and end up with something that was at the bottom of your list when you first started. There are some leading apps but they’re too much for simple to-dos and often complex. So tell me how to proceed!

If you can’t, then let me tell you. There’s this new iOS app called Jamie’s To Do that has been developed by LanziVision. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

Jamie’s To Do was actually a romantic gift by John to his beautiful wife, Jamie. But it came out so well that they made it available for everyone. So it’s made with love and passion by an “engineer” and we call it “beauty-with-brains”! But literally, the app boasts a beautiful interface with many different themes and colour codes depending upon the type of your to-do list. So there are different colour codes for one-time, daily, weekly and monthly reminder lists. Talking about reminders, they are very easy to set up. Just select a time, the frequency of repetition and it’s done. These come pretty handy in case of monthly bills or any business meetings that are held after a regular period of time.

Apart from reminders, there are eight lists that you can set up and they’re very easy to manage in terms of priority, thanks to the “drag-and-drop” feature, and after a reminder goes off, the app automatically sets it up for the next time shifting it up/down accordingly in the priority list. The intuitive interface makes sure that you’re never confused while scrolling through the app. The different categories on the right side like Work, Home, Reminders, others and extras make sure you have every list on your tips. So the app mixes a typical hand-note that’s easy-to-create with a neat & clean digital backend and takes the advantage of qualities of both. You can also share your lists via email and view “completed” lists in the Extras section.

Overall, Jamie’s To Do is a very simple, easy-to-use and well-refined to do list that fulfils your requirements very efficiently.

The app is available for free in the App Store. However, there are some in-app purchases for ad-free version and add-on page.

Pros: easy-to-use simplified interface; drag-and-drop to change priorities; different colour codes for different categories; reminders; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
