While registering, you will have to submit the name of your site on which you will be featuring Chatwing. Once you are done with this, the next step will be to embed the html code provided by Chatwing on your website. This is it! Yes, it’s as simple as it looks and you are ready to customize your chat box and chat with your friends.
Now, the app provides a medium for your website users to communicate with one another. So, it’s a great way to increase the traffic on your site as the users will have something to catch on other than the stuff on your site. Second, you will be getting paid for free without doing anything. Let me explain.
As I mentioned earlier, there will be advertisements featured on your site along with the chat box. So, as your users click on the ads, you will get paid a certain amount just like Google Ad sense. 75% of the total revenue will be paid to you and the rest will go to Chatwing. When the total amount goes to $25, you can request for the payment via PayPal and the money will be delivered to you within 5 business days. But you cannot click on the ads of your own site and if you did, it will be considered as a click fraud and your account will be deleted and pending payments will be stopped.
Unlike the other messengers, like the Yahoo messenger, there will be no URLs displayed in the chat box. The application filters any URLs and profane language. So, there is complete spamming protection. I found the flagging system quite effective. If a person is flagged by any three users, he/she is temporarily banned from the chat.
The application seems to be quite beneficial to the small website owners as you don’t require any initial traffic to be shown like Google Ad sense. But still there are some related problems as well. First, the customization of the chat box is not available. There are not many features you can change and you will have to accept the same as delivered, not even the color. Second, there is no ad-free application. So, for example, if you are a part of Google ad sense, and have your own ads currently running on your domain, you can’t allow any more ads from any other source. So, an ad-free program should also be available, which might be having less features, as compared to the ad one.
