Every time a good puzzle comes in the store, it surprises me and I’m more surprised by the fact that there’s still so much hidden behind the curtains that has never caught the light of the day. You can bend a puzzle in any direction and dimension and the more complex it is, the more challenging it will be for the players to solve. But it’s also true that if I put up a question that has no solution or is as difficult to be solved as creating a time machine, then the users will lose interest very soon and I have to find that exact right balance between the challenging and the confusing. Not many apps have managed to stay on that thin line for long. But the app that we have today looks very promising to survive that challenge. Let’s find out what makes me say that!
I am talking about the latest iOS app called Poofies that has been developed by SHMUEL COHEN. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.1 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
Poofies is a puzzle or I should say a very unique challenge that’s put to you at every level. There are some dots of different colours on the board and you have to connect them. But first, you have to connect only the matching-colour dots. Second, you have to make sure that the complete board is filled up at the end of each level. So what might be looking like a straight joint will have you run over the entire board all around and each level would start up as a neat workstation and end up like a scribbled chemistry lab where a new experiment is being carried out each time. There won’t be much difference between your failures and success; just that you’ll proceed to the next level in the latter.
There are plenty of addictive levels full of fun and entertainment that you’ll find here. For your ease, you can choose a difficulty level of your choice and there are 75 levels available under each mode. Apart from that, if you’re stuck in the middle of a challenge, you can use hints. These hints can be bought from the store starting from $0.99 for 5 hints.
The clean interface makes it easy for you to enjoy the game. The graphics are nice, blended with some soft shades of colours and the overall design of the game is very appealing. It comes naturally that you’re playing a decent game designed with quality and zeal to explore more rises that gives way to your addiction with the game.
Overall, I’d say Poofies is a game that everybody would love to strike a chord with. It’s addictive, appealing, has different modes of difficulty as per your liking and is available for free in the App Store. What more do you need!
