Nowadays, people refrain from visiting restaurants especially during their working hours. For example, if they have a lunch break of 1 hour, they’d go to a nearby food truck or start brining a lunch box from home. It’s not that they will be saving too much with such alternatives, but they don’t have so much time to complete their meal in the restaurant. What happens is that you visit a restaurant and place your order as soon as possible. But still you have to wait at least 15-20 minutes for your turn or even more during rush hours. So finally your lunch break becomes a hectic break and it becomes an additional task to complete your meal on time, like completing a file for a client. But here we have a product that can save all this hassle to the customer and help the Restaurateurs manage their tables.


I’m talking about the latest iOS app called Allset for Restarateurs which has been developed by Allset Technologies. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 7.0 or any later version of the OS.


Allset is a very simple app that makes it super easy for customers to book their table with their favorite Restaurants. First of all, as a Restaurant owner, you set up your account on the app. The setting up includes creating a public profile of the restaurant, adding a bank account and adding your restaurant’s menu. Now any customer can access your restaurant on-the-go using Allset guest app. So they can book a table for any given time slot that is available and choose their own order from the given menu. Once they’ve sent you the order, you can confirm it and it gets locked. Now you can start your preparations for that particular table in advance and when the customers arrive, you can serve them food right on time. In this way, the customer doesn’t have to wait for his order and your chefs also get to skip the hectic schedule they mostly go through when many customers arrive at the same time. You also get valuable customer information which helps you serve them even better.


As far as the payment is concerned, it gets automatically transferred from the app customer’s account to yours. So you don’t have to ask for it and they can just enjoy their meal and leave the table when they want. Overall, this cashless transaction system is beneficial for both.

The app charges $1 per each transaction that’s booked through its interface. The payments are processed via Stripe which charges 2.9% + 30 cents. So the charges are quite affordable even for small Restaurateurs. So what are you waiting for? The app has a very neatly designed interface and they’ve streamlined the entire process of booking tables and placing orders. The app comes for free in the App Store, both for Restaurateurs and customers. So it’s a win-win situation for both.
