I’m a very foody guy and I’m always in search of a new recipe to satisfy my appetite. There are many food channels with great recipes for the whole day. Also, I have a few recipe books with me to try them out whenever I have time. But the problem with both is same. I live with my friends and these recipes are either too complex to try out (from my recipe book) or aren’t telecasted the same time I’m available (for TV shows). I want something that can wait for me and is made for a bachelor to try out. That’s why I like my mom who tells me some simple-to-make recipes over the phone and they are delicious as well as healthy. But asking her on the phone again and again for recipes isn’t going to last forever. So I must find a new source of simple recipes and I’ve found one.

The solution to my problem is the new iOS app called My Greek Dish that has been developed by Ioannis Giannakas. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 7.0 or any later version of the OS. So you must update your OS to the latest version available. Also, it has been optimized for iPhone 5.

I found some seriously great recipes on this app. They say that they’ve approved these recipes from Greek mothers and after cooking one, you can certainly approve that statement. New recipes are constantly added to the list. So what you can do is refresh their recipe feed and you’ll find a new recipe on the menu. That’s good for professional cooks who want to try a new recipe every day.

Now comes the part which I was waiting for. You can browse recipes using many different filters. For example, if you’re looking for a desert, just search by course and you’ll get all the different delicious deserts. If you’re a bachelor like me or a bad cook, just browse by skills and choose the beginner one. But choosing a lower level doesn’t compromise on your taste buds. These recipes are also sizzling, delicious and as healthy as you’d have expected from a chef’s oven. Even more, you can also search by the type of cooking method used such as baked, fried or vegetarian. This vegetarian section will certainly come to the rescue and happiness of many of my vegetarian friends.

The recipes look amazing especially with those mouthwatering pictures. They are well detailed and step by step take you to your food fantasy. You can save your favorite recipes to your phone and watch them  offline or you can share them on Facebook or Twitter as well. But if you want to make a recipe, you’ll have to do a lot of shopping for it in case you’re going for a challenging dish like Greek Pie. So you don’t have to type in all the ingredients one by one. Just add your recipe to your shopping list and all the ingredients will automatically be added. Simple, isn’t it? Then you can uncheck them one by one after you’ve bought them.

The app is available for free in the App Store. You should certainly go for this one.
