I don’t know how to start this but I hope that my users don’t make fun of my posts. I mean I’ve been writing reviews for so long and I’ve never seen such a comment which makes me feel embarrassed. I mean I don’t write any such content which can be criticized by someone, but then you don’t need a reason to be hit by someone. These sorts of things happen a lot on social networking websites like Facebook where you mean something else but get caught by people for nothing. Moreover, the kinds of posts we usually have there are more personal and the idea of social networking is somewhat depressed. So here we have a different ideology by another developer who feels to change the current scenario. Let’s head to what he’s got in store for us!
I am talking about the developer of the latest iOS app called meMessage and the engineering mind behind it is S Jones. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.1 or any later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
The problem is clear to us. None of us wants any public humiliation and we want the content to be more social and sharable. Also we have many friends but don’t want to see the updates of some of them because they are so boring. We can’t ignore or block them either. So the best way is to randomize everything and follow only what you like.
So in meMessage, you can create your own posts, check anyone’s posts and if you like it, start following him/her. This way you don’t need to burden yourself with some useless posts just for the sake of friendship. Moreover, I can share anything without concerning any of my sensitive friends. Whoever likes my post will share it and the rest will not. It’s really amazing this way.
I really liked the random posts section where you can just go through all the different posts one by one and whatever you like, you may follow it and the next posts by that user will automatically be notified to you. However, once you tap the next button, there is no coming back. There are many posts and therefore it’s almost impossible that you’ll ever come back to the same post. I would have liked if there could be a back button as well. But then the exact taste of randomness would be lost. So it’s better if it stays the same.
Overall, though the app doesn’t give you any strong reason to download, I think it’s worth a shot. You’ll certainly get a break from the regular stuff you enjoy and it’s not something you’d leave after a day. There’s a lot of new stuff to check out.
Pros: unique content; appropriate for everyone; free.
Cons: none.
I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
