It doesn’t matter if you have a body as muscular and strong as Arnold Schweinsteiger or not, but what matters is the fitness of your body. Fitness refers to the ability of a body to perform all the basic and daily activities efficiently without any sign of fatigue. It doesn’t mean that you have to necessarily develop 18” biceps or something. Exercise is a must, but weightlifting isn’t. Yoga is also considered as one of the most important art form that simulates one’s body growth and development. Also, you have to keep control on your intake and food quality. If you meet all these conditions successfully, then you have the passed this physical cum mental test.

Today, we have Fitness :100 Ready Workouts, a new iOS app that has been developed by Plus Sports. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5. The developers have already taken out many fitness apps before and now have more than 3 and a half million users in total. Let’s see if this app matches the criteria of the league or not.

There are over 1000 workout sessions including 300 yoga poses with both audio and HD visual supports that have been stored for you with all of them categorized by different muscle groups. Additionally, there are 100 more ready-made workouts designed by the developers themselves. You can easily create a session for you by saving the exercises you perform more regularly saving a lot of time to search for them. But the developer knows that it’s not only the exercise that determines the fate of the body of an individual, but the strict control over his/her diet as well. That is why there is an in-built calorie counter with nutritional data of over 300,000 recipes. And there is a Vitamin meter as well which tells you how much calories you should take depending upon the goals you’ve set.

If even this is not enough for you to pay respect to the fitness of your body, then to inspire and guide you correctly, there is a monthly Fitness e-Magazine that contains articles from experts about health and nutrition. You can follow these magazines and find out new ideas and information on Fitness. Other than this, there are many body tracking instruments in the app that help you to measure your fitness against some standards set by them. You can even find out the changes in your body if you’re following the schedule strictly.

The app is available for $0.99 in the App Store and is really a very good buy at this price. People are used to spend thousands of dollars for reducing their weight. So, if you have an app that can do the same and even better for just a dollar, I don’t think it’s a bad deal.

Pros: intuitive UI; many different exercises with HD video support; in-app calorie counter and vitamin meter.

Cons: results may not be completely accurate.
