A young child is easier to manage than a grown-up. Though he can’t walk by himself neither can he open the gate for you when your hands are full, still he’s one peaceful mind that’s always ready to be controlled. But as the child grows up, he gets inhabited by more and more ideas. These ideas are like free wild horses and even if you catch one, there’s always another on the loose. Similarly, now our “pocket” phones have become much smarter and have grown “bigger” both in size and storage. The number of files is so large that it becomes necessary to hire a personal manager to handle them all. But you got to make sure that the manager is smart, intelligent and able to handle every individual no matter what traits or characteristics it possesses and that as well in a sophisticated manner. Know anyone?

Well, if you don’t, then let me introduce you to your new File Manager called “File Expert”. This Android app has been developed by GeekSoft and is compatible with all the devices running Android 4.1 or any later version of the OS.

File Expert offers a variety of features. But the most important of them all is their customizable beautiful user interface. It’s a delight to use this app. It’s not rigid or calculative but rather very smooth unlike the things it handles. The homepage gives you access to almost all the files on your phone instantly. You can view these files just like you do normally or you may open the file directory. You can open apps directly or go to their settings page. You can keep your favourite files on the homepage, the ones that you open quite frequently and put the rest on the backend. This will save you a lot of time from shuffling in-between those files. You can even tag them. Moreover, you can always keep a check on which files are taking up the larger chunks of volume on your memory and clean them up quickly.

One of the best things about this app is that all the files are pre-sorted out according to type. So you don’t have to first configure your data; it’s already done for you. Moreover, just like the homepage, the app is also divided into four different sections. Each section opens up into further sections and final contents can be sorted out in many different ways. So customization is deep-rooted.

Now with File Expert, you can manage files not only in your phone or external SD card but stored on cloud as well. You can install plug-ins for Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and others from Play Store and integrate them all. There are some more tools such as FTP server, Web PC Suite, Super Downloader, etc that can all be added to the package.

So overall, I think File Expert really has a solid reason to be ruling all those devices. Mind you, it’s already been downloaded more than 5 million times and still counting. So who’s next?

The app is available for free in the Play Store.

Pros: customizable interface; smooth navigation; smartly-designed homepage; integrate cloud storage as well; memory check; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
