Cheese – the word brings a smile on everyone’s face and it’s so symbolic that it became the official cameraman’s word before every click. It can be a part of almost any dish possible and not only humans, even rats love it and maybe even more than us. It’s a story of one such mouse called Mr. Mousey. It lived in a big mice family and they had lots of cheese for themselves. But soon poverty overtook them and they were left without any food. But the season of Christmas was coming near and Mr. Mousey was very sad to see his family in such a critical condition. Then he decided to go on a mission in the house and search out all the hidden pieces of cheese here and there. So will you help him in his journey for the ultimate taste!
I am talking about the latest iOS app called World of Cheese HD that has been developed by Alda Games. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
The game is a journey through different parts of the house and each part has several sub-levels to go through. Each level is a puzzle that you have to solve. But it’s not a puzzle of words, neither are there numbers to calculate. So keep your mathematical and vocabulary skills aside and put in some brain value for these problems because they require a great IQ to solve them. For example, there is an incomplete fencing with corresponding blue and white boards while two boards are missing in-between. When the scene opens up, there are two uncoloured boards, a hammer, a paint brush and two different colours placed in the garden. You know what you’ve got to do and as soon as you solve the puzzle, the cheese will come out as the treasure. The same is the equation every time, though the question is always different.
The game has total of 35 levels under 7 different locations. However, when you first download the game, only 10 levels are free and you can buy the rest via in-app purchase for $1.99 and you’ll get 5 additional levels as a Christmas gift. Each level teaches you something which can be building a robot, creating a fence, growing trees, etc. Graphics are awesome and the game is perfect for young children.
I missed one important thing I guess. Have I told you that you need to keep your clicks minimum? If no, then it’s what the game about. When you’re solving a puzzle, you have to tap different elements to move them and you have to keep these clicks minimum. The lesser your clicks are, the more you’ll score. You can see your clicks count at the top right.
Pros: light puzzles; adventurous journey throughout; addictive gameplay; cartoon-themed graphics; some levels free.
Cons: none.
I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
