Puzzle games are always interesting and intriguing and that’s why they’re always the best seller in the market. They are addictive, have a long life and are therefore always the developers’ favourite to provide a boost to their careers. But it’s obvious that there are far less ideas in the market than the minds and therefore when every second mind is thinking about creating a puzzle, they get puzzled themselves and the result is pretty different than what was desired. So while there are millions of games in the App Store, only few of them can actually be seen on more than a million devices at the same time. I don’t know how many games you have in your iPhone right now, but I can certainly tell you that there’s going to be one more in your collection after reading this review. So let’s hear it then!
I am talking about the latest iOS app called Link The Dots that has been developed by chewingapps Ltd. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
I must warn you before you buy this game that its gameplay is very addictive. Once you get your hands on it, taking them back will be a great challenge. Talking about the gameplay, it’s very simple. There are dots of different colours on the board, all stacked in horizontal lines in random order. But if you look carefully, there are some similar dots adjacent to each other placed either horizontally or vertically. Your aim is to find these balls and connect them together to make as long lines as possible. Once you join them, they’ll disappear and new dots will take their place.
The above mentioned procedure isn’t as time-taking as it appears and you have to be quick while connecting these dots. If you’re playing the endless mode where you have plenty of time, you can relax your nerves. But if you’re playing in time-mode, make sure your fingers are quick enough and your eyes are sufficiently clear to spot all the possible connections. The more connections you make, the more points you score.
After beating your own best again and again, why don’t you try beating the rest of the world! Challenge your friends and find out if you really have the metal to go out and take on the world.
The app has been neatly designed. The graphics are nice but not very flashy or glorious to keep it simple. So if you want to play a simple yet addictive game which you can enjoy endlessly, here you have it.
The app is available for free in the App Store.
Pros: neatly designed graphics; time-mode; challenge your friends; addictive gameplay; free.
Cons: none.
I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
