If you have ever watched any of those action movies with battlefield action scenes, then you must have seen a catapult as a centre piece of destructive weapon on which the complete army force depended. It used to explode a heavy piece of gunpowder that will destruct anything that it would hit upon. The same thing can now be seen in a new avatar as “cannon”. The difference is that while the catapult used to have a spring mechanism to launch the metal, the present cannon fires it off using some gunpowder. But do you want to try the old method and destruct your enemy’s kingdom. If you are interested, you don’t need any form to fill. All you need to do is continue reading and follow the instructions.
Catapolt is the latest iOS app that has been developed by Aaron Start. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later version. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5. You may think that the game somewhat resembles angry bird with the description above, but no; a totally different game play is offered. All you need is hold your device and start the destruction.
What you actually do in-app is launch the boulder and aim it correctly to reach the destined position. Now, after the launching the boulder the game is not over yet. The actually begins at this stage. Now, you have to control the boulder in order to destruct all the things on your way. You have to actually use the small little things to lift up your boulder and boost it with enough power and correct timing. If you continue your hitting streak, you build up your power combo and you can even destruct the whole castle in just one hit. So, it’s all a matter of timing and placement.
The game uses tilt controls of the device. You have to tilt the device in the right direction and use gravity properly to aim at the right point. It’s easy and very intuitive. You will very easily get hooked to the addictiveness of the game play. The graphics are sharp and attractive but not very fantasized. They are from the old cartoon shows with those hand crafted castles, mountains and birds. The background sounds are also very nice and just fit the theme perfectly. There are many different levels to ensure hours of game play. The difficulty level is very much balanced but you’d have to work hard to earn those 3 stars rating for each level.
The game is available for $0.99 in the App Store but you can also get it free by downloading the free version. Of course, it has some limitations but it is exactly what you want to just check out the different features. Everything is nicely balanced in that package and we would recommend this game to everyone.
