Bark N Borrow gives you an alternative, or should I say a “free” alternative. You can hire people around you who’re also looking to take care of a dog or to take it for a walk. But don’t consider this option only for its “free” tag because these people are dog-lovers who love to spend some time of their day with animals and that’s why they’re volunteering for this job. In the app, you can simply put up your dog’s profile and when you need a caretaker, you can search for all the dog-lovers around you. If you find your match, you can message him/her and if he/she replies back in affirmation, you can share your location and other details. It’s simple, quick and dog-friendly. In the dog’s profile, you have to add a recent picture of the dog and other details such as name, age, gender, breed, weight and training level. So in case a caretaker himself is looking to hire a dog, he can make his selection easily.
But the developers do acknowledge the fact that professional caretakers do have a certain edge compared to casual dog-lovers. Also, in case a person is looking for a long-term partnership for his dog-care responsibilities, you can’t rely upon a non-pro. Finding a new caretaker everyday is also a headache. In such cases, the app allows you to hire a professional caretaker as well. So the choice is all yours!
So overall, I’d say that Bark N Borrow is a very good mean of communication for dog owners and dog-lovers where they can help each other out and finally, it’s the pet dog that benefits the most!
