Whenever we talk about aliens, there is always a fear that if they come to our planet, their sole motive will be to take over the planet earth. This is because there is always some insecurity between two races on who will lead the world. So if there are six such races fighting for the empire, what do you think will be the fate of the world? If you have watched Lord of the Rings, you know that there are many more races other than humans. There are dwarves, elves, ende, greenskin, krant and of course human. While human and elf live on the surface, the other dark creatures live in caves below the surface. Now, all of them want to take on the world by defeating everyone else. You have to decide now which race will you lead or you will be beaten to death otherwise. So are you ready to fight for what’s yours!
I am talking about the latest Android app called Rising Empires Premium. The app is compatible with all the Android devices running Android 2.2 or any later version of the OS.
Turn based games are always difficult to grasp at first hand and Rising Empires is not an exception. There are so many different elements that running an original empire sometimes seems easier. But thanks to the understanding of the developers that they have provided some tutorials for some basic moves so that you can know the whereabouts of the game.
As I said, you’ll be leading a race and you have to decide at the start what race do you choose. Then you have some more strategic options regarding your defence and attack. When you start, you are going to build an empire and therefore you have to think wisely. Development of a territory always adds to its strength. Therefore, you will be sending your armies for the construction work and making sure that not a single soldier is sitting idle. But at the same time, you have to make sure that you have enough gold to afford this development. But where will more gold come from?
The answer is War! You have to reinforce your armies, place them at right areas, build outposts for them to keep watch on enemies and have a better strategy than your enemy. The more area you take under your territory, the more resources you add to your treasure. Also, you have to keep looking at all the settlements around you. If there’s any infiltration of enemy soldiers across border, the results of other wars, etc so that you may know whom to keep close and whom to fight with.
The interface of the game is very intuitive and even if you’re playing this game on a small screen phone, you won’t find any problem. The graphics are nice but not very much appealing.
If you’ve been into turn based gaming before, then this game will not disappoint you at all. It’s available for $2.49 in the Play Store. However, there is a free version also available and you can try that before buying the paid one.
Pros: intuitive UI; lots of elements to take care of; interesting gameplay; tutorials available; free version available.
Cons: complex gameplay especially for the beginners.
