We all have our memories from the childhood. Whether it’s a story that our grandmother used to tell us or a picnic place that we always visited every weekend with our entire family, it’s always special. One of those childhood memories is a game that I used to play a lot with my mother. It was very simple to catch on and very sticky on my mind as well. The rule was simple: when my mother says a bird’s name, I had to lift my finger up in the air. However, if it was an animal’s name, I had to keep it grounded. Sounds simple, right? Well, at first you’d think of it as a child’s play. But when the game speeds up, it sounds much more than that. But those childhood days aren’t going to come back for you to play that game. So we have made some special arrangements for you. Let’s check it out!

I am talking about the latest Android app called Hungry Bird which has been developed by Fox Studios. The app is compatible with all the Android devices running Android 2.3 or any later version of the OS.

Though the name of the app sounds very similar to Angry Birds, this is a completely different game. A saying goes for lazy persons that even if food comes to you, you have to open your mouth to eat it. In this case, you just have to do that and you can feed this bird. Fruits will be coming from the top of the screen and you just have to tap and open the mouth of the bird to take a bite into them. But where’s the connection to Mama’s story? Actually, it’s not just fruits falling from the top; there is cactus too and if you’re familiar with the plant, you pretty well know that it’s not eatable. Now got the logic?

hb2Whenever a fruit falls, you have to tap at the screen to let the bird open its mouth and eat it. However, in case of the cactus, you just don’t tap. At the start of the game, it’s like a piece of cake. But this game is endless and the further you go, the faster it gets. Soon you’ll be having no idea of what the next item is and neither will be there any time after seeing one. You might be thinking of doing nothing and taking chances at regular intervals. However, for every fruit you miss, you lose one point and soon your game will be over. And one bit into the cactus, you’re finished.

The graphics of the game are cool, bright, and colorful and the peppy background music is also apt for the situation. If you want to, you can post your scores on Facebook and Twitter as well.

The app is available for free in the Play Store. It’s highly addictive. So be cautious!

Pros: amazing graphics; nice background music; addictive gameplay; free.

Cons: none.
