Pretty Good Privacy i.e. PGP is a secured means of communication where all the information that’s exchanged between two points is encrypted and therefore if an outsider tries to infringe across the boundaries, he would be rejected straight. But encrypting every message is a difficult task. Suppose you receive a message that’s encrypted. So first you’ll have to decrypt it and before you can send it, you’ll have to again encrypt it. So for every such message, you’ll have to search out the internet for quick encrypting Software. It’s still acceptable if it takes just a few minutes to complete the process. But in case you have to deal with a number of such messages every day, then it becomes a problem to be encountered and solved by the earliest. So do you have one in mind?

Don’t worry if you’re still puzzling about the situation because I have one in my mind and it’s called PGPTools. It’s the latest Android app that has been developed by SJ Software. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 4.0 or any later version of the OS.

PGPTools is mainly intended to introduce convenience in the lives of people and that’s why they are providing ready-to-use solutions at your fingertips. With only a tap of your finger, now you can generate a key to encrypt messages. Increase the number of taps to two and you can encrypt or decrypt a message. Moreover, after decrypting the message successfully, the next step is obviously to send it. But even at this step, you won’t have to leave the app. You can send the message via email directly from the app.

Now, we have learned that PGPTools can create a new key within seconds. But what if you already have a key? For example, many times you and your friend share a special key that only you two know about and you’ve chosen it for a particular reason. You’d not want to change it. So how will you fix the situation? Well, you don’t have to ask a third person for that because PGPTools accommodates that option as well. So if you have a key in your hand, you don’t need to create a new one but just import the old one. So now you can use the same old password without creating a new one every time.

pg3

With PGPTools, you can encrypt or decrypt messages on the go. The interface makes it even easier for one to keep a record of all the keys that have been in use and use them in future. So this app does what it is required to do and therefore you should go for it. The app is available for Rs.75.59 in the Play Store. So I’ve done my part; now the choice is yours!

Pros: intuitive UI: import keys; create new keys with a tap; encrypt/decrypt messages on the go.

Cons: none.

I give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
