It’s said that dragons once existed and were a part of our own social society. If you have watched the latest season of Games of Thrones, then there are some obvious reasons to believe the above statement. But I’m not here to discuss the pros and cons of any television series no matter how popular it is (I love it). We are here to gain some knowledge over the most dangerous predators of the past because we will need it while clearing the stages of Dragon Tear. If you are still wondering what I’m talking about, then you should probably stop reading this and start searching the Google Play Store or you may pay some attention to my words that might prove worth your life later.

So here we are with this new iOS app called Dragon Tear that has been developed by Playmage. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5. First I must say that I haven’t come across many of the Dragon Games and therefore it already scores a positive point in favour of this game. But still if you look at a particular Dragon game, the gameplay for this one was pretty different.

When I first looked at the gameplay, it seemed more like the battle ground of Pokemon while watching the battle between Dragonair and Dragonite.  There are many different dragons with unique powers and combo attacks. But what I liked the most about the game was that there was a nice story building up with the game play and I, as a player, was not only limited to placing my dragon in the right place and perform some smart moves. I knew what I was doing and why.

There are more than 100 levels of gameplay in total spread across 5 different exotic islands. While in the game, you will always be busy working out on 100 of those quests and searching the treasure and collecting as much gems as possible. Then there are other players as well to compete in weekly tournaments. The graphics of the game are average and I would say that though the developer has tried to create a new atmosphere with this game but I wouldn’t say that he succeeded completely. Still, it was a nice attempt.

The app is available for free in the App Store. But as any other game, this game also has many in-app purchases available such as Gems Pack for $2.99, Bag of Coins for $0.99, Gem Chest for $99.99, etc. Overall, this game is average. You will like it no doubt, but retaining it in your phone for a long time will be the major issue here. So, do try your hands on this app now and share your experiences with us.

Pros: unique gameplay; 100+ levels; 5 exotic islands; free.

Cons: average overall experience.
