Every day, there are millions of newspapers across the streets of US that are all carrying the same brand of puzzles: David L. Hoyt & Jeff Knurek. They both are the masters of puzzling and have spent years giving the world some of the smartest and most complex puzzles that they would love to solve. There word game called Jumble is one of the most popular puzzles around the world. But when people have so much solving them, why to keep them limited to a country or two? And when it comes to expanding the user base, what’s better than going digital? So now they have released their first official Jumble app on the iTunes store. Let’s check it out and see if it can replicate the same magic at the world level or not!

Just Jumble is the name of the iOS app that we’re talking about. The app has been developed by Adveractive and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.1 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

This app has a collection of over 230 selected puzzles out of the league designed by these two. So there’s a lot of content that will keep you busy for hours. But the best part of the app is the creativity it has brought along with the new platform. Of course these puzzles are good for newspapers. But when you’re releasing them on phones, there must be something new added to them and I guess the team found just the right spice.

In this app, you’re not going to solve just word puzzles. In fact, they are an optional choice, second to the humorous picture puzzles that are funny, interactive and seriously smart. Each puzzle consists of a picture with some quotes like a cut-out from a comic book. At the end of the picture, you’d find a word missing and you have to jot down that word in the box below using the jumbled words provided to you. To make the picture clear, you can tap on it and it will expand. You can ask for help in exchange of coins earned by you or you can buy some coins via in-app purchases. On the other hand, if you’re not interested in spending coins, you can ask your friends on Facebook and Twitter as well.

After each such puzzle, you have the option to go to the next puzzle or play a bonus round which consists of word puzzles. So if you’re looking to re-sharpen your brain cells, there’s no exercise better than this one.

Overall, this is one of the best puzzle apps you’d find on the App Store. It has a brand name as well as some seriously funny puzzles that will make you laugh and scratch your head at the same time. And when all this is available for free, I don’t think you need any recommendations to buy this one!
