After watching movies like Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones, one can easily fall into the imagination of saving his/her own castle. Imagine you standing at the cliff of the castle and looking for the incoming enemies. You can see them running at a great pace from a long distance. They are thousands in number and a storm of dust is following them. There are horses, elephants and strong men armed with sharp weapons. This marvellous scene can leave you stunned for a few minutes. If the imagination is so fascinating, what if you’re actually protecting a castle from intruders? I am talking about the latest Android app called Three Defenders that has been developed by Solid Games Studio. The app is compatible with all the Android devices running Android 4.0 or any later version of the OS.
In three defenders, you’re an adventurer who’s looking for gold. But on your journey, you come across villages that are being raided for gold and blood by monsters. So you take on the responsibility to save them in return for Gold. You can choose from any of the three different characters: Ranger, Mage or Engineer. Ranger is an archer who shoots down his enemies with sharp arrows. Slowly, your abilities and skills will improve such as Power, precision and you can buy new bow and arrows as well. Coming down to Mage, this is a magician who uses his spells to deal with the incoming monsters. But he can use only four spells in a level. So you have to carefully select your spells from the available ones and keep upgrading them as you proceed further.
Engineer reflects the attributes of his name. He uses turrets to kill the enemies and there are many more lethal weapons waiting for you in the store. So as you see, all the three characters have their own way of dealing with the enemies and therefore the gameplay has three different routes for the same journey. In fact, the journey itself can be very different as you’re free to choose your own path. There are total of 58 levels with each level consisting of 5 waves of monsters. There are 6 different environments to be explored on this journey.
The graphics are awesome and though there are so many characters on the screen at one time, the developers have still managed to capture the details. Our three defenders look marvellous in their armours and dresses. The gameplay is so fast paced that you can feel the anxiety of an actual knight saving his castle. There are 31 unique monsters and there are so many weapons to upgrade that you’ll end at a completely different note from where you started.
The app is available for Rs. 88.88 in the Play Store. There’s a demo version as well to have a preview. So you can check that out first and then download the full version.
