Life is too easy when you have people who care for you, who hang out with you and are with you when you need them. Some call them parents, some call them friends. But is there a need to name them? Can’t you just go for a movie with any stranger? Can’t a person whom you have just met be your best buddy for the next weekend trip? Of course, there are trust issues and you’re not sure if the two of you will tune or not. But when the world has become so small that you can carry it in your pocket, I don’t think there’s any scope left for denying the new. People are used to travel to new countries and if you want to see the whole world, you cannot take your whole crew with you. You go alone and meet new people and that becomes your crew!
I am talking about the new Android app called Namaste that has been developed by Phone-Concept-SEZC. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 3.1 or any later version of the OS.
Namaste is the Hindi word for Hello and I think this is the perfect title for such an application. The app is lot more than just a chat messenger. Of course, you can chat with your friends just like any other messenger but the app focuses more on creating new ones. For example, suppose you go to Australia on a business trip but you manage to find some time to take a short trip of your city. Now if you’re running short on time, you cannot just hang out and expect to see everything. You must take the help of a local. So open this app and search for buddies in your nearby location. Buddies are the members of this app and their status tells their story. So you can check out if anyone of them is available to take you on a short trip. If you just want to grab a beer, follow the same and I’m sure that you’ll find many beer lovers out there. The concept of buddies is actually much bigger. If you need some help, you can call out a buddy and vice-versa i.e. if you’re available, go out and help others. So it’s much more social than just your profile picture! If you really like going out with a person, you can add him/her to your buddies list as well and it will be easier for you to find him/her.
All your messages are stored at one place and are automatically deleted after 21 days. Moreover, the app automatically ends your session after 2 hours of inactivity to save your phone battery. The user interface is intuitive as well as pretty stylish. This app is touching the social lives of people with a very different approach and I like it. They’re doing great and all I can say is, Thumbs up for this one!
The app is available for free in the Play Store but the buddy version is available in the paid Pro version which is available for just $1.49/year. It also makes sure that all the buddies you find are authentic as the payment is made via Google Wallet. So no fake IDs here!
