There are so many new puzzles coming in the Play Store that some of them you’re even not aware with. But they are so interesting and fresh to the scene that you wish why was this game not in your dictionary for that long. It’s like you spent your whole life playing Contra and you just came to know that there is a game called Call of Duty as well. A similar experience I had when I came to know about a game called Dominosa. If you haven’t heard of the game, then this Chinese originated game also had its roots in Germany. When Richard Osa patented it and launched it worldwide, it was very well received everywhere and travelled across the world before finally reaching the Play Store. So if you’re ready to play, make sure that your nerve juices are working properly as it involves some heavy fluid flow.

Dominosa has just been released in the Play Store and has been developed by Alexey Khripkov. The app is compatible with all the Android devices running Android 2.1 or any later version of the OS. But before playing, you should know the rules as well.

The gameplay is very simple to understand. It’s like you have to pick some pieces placed randomly in a plate but there is only a single possible combination of all the pieces to fit in the plate. A domino is a pair of numbers and only a single domino is allowed to be placed on the board. There are many different dominos placed on the right side of the screen and you have to place them either horizontally or vertically on the board. If you manage to pull out all the dominos so that no domino is left on the right side and they are all on the board, you win the game. Didn’t get it? Then you’ll have to try it yourself or you can take a look at the demo video as well.

Just for the sake of beginners, you can use hints to track the right path. Each hint will pick a domino and place it on the right place but still you’ll have to use your own mind to get it done. There are four different levels: Novice, Amateur, Expert and Master with each of them consisting of 10 rounds. Starting the game is easy, but ending it is very difficult. Especially when you reach Expert level, there are so many possibilities and even a single wrong move will block all the paths for you.

Overall, the feel of the game is amazing. The graphics are decent with nice background music. You’ll like to play more and more of this and the gameplay is so addicting and challenging that you’ll never get bored of it.

The game is available for free in the Play Store. I think it’s a perfect time pass for your winter holidays. Go for it!

Pros: decent graphics; addictive and challenging gameplay; many different levels of difficulty making it suitable for children as well as adults; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
