Connectixx Free is a new puzzle game developed by Matthias Lange, who had also created the addictive Candy Racer. Connectixx is a connect-the-dots puzzle game which is simple to pick up, yet difficult enough to keep you interested for a long time. If you like puzzle games, then this could certainly be one game that can make it to your favorites list.
Connectixx is a connect-the-dots puzzle game in which you are presented with a set of circles. Each circle has a number in it which represents how many connecting points it should have. You need to draw lines between any two circles, connecting them to each other, and when the line is completed, the numbers in both circles drop by one. So for example, if you have one circle with a 4 in it and the other has a 3, when you connect them with a line, you will now have two circles with a 3 and a 2 in them. Your job is to connect all the circles until you get down to zero for each circle. The catch is that you cannot draw any crossing lines. If you try drawing a line which crosses another one, the game won’t let you. That way you know which lines are feasible, and which ones are not.
The game starts off as looking quite easy at the beginning, with fewer circles and connecting all of them is not too difficult. But as you progress through the levels, you would notice that not only do the number of circles increase, but their placement gets more challenging. Connectixx has 200 levels, and each level is unique. Which means that you won’t be running out of levels too soon. Moreover, unlike traditional puzzle games which require you to complete a particular level to be able to move on to the next one, Connectixx lets you skip levels and explore the next level. This is a pretty good feature to have, as it prevents the player from getting frustrated if he is stuck at a particular level. You can move on to other levels, explore them, and then come back to the level where you were stuck at later. All levels come unlocked right from the beginning.
The other interesting aspect of Connectixx is that it keeps track of the time that you take to solve each puzzle and gives you the total time for whatever number of puzzles you have already solved. If you are the type that wonders how well you stack up against everyone else, you can see your rank if you sign in with a Scoreloop account. If you don’t have one, you can easily sign up for one, and check how you stack up against other playing the same game.
ConnectiXX is quite addictive and is one of the better puzzle games available for Android. For a free game, it offers hours of simple, yet challenging game play for users of all ages. The interface is simple and cool. The main focus is on the circles and the lines, without any other background graphics to distract you from the task at hand. Animations and transitions are smooth and seamless. Overall, Connectixx is a fun game to have on your phone on that long distance commute to work.
