I know that you’ve reached so far just because of that last line and let me tell you that it’s not a joke at all. I am talking about the new iOS app, Paywatch that has been developed by Mobilation PTY Ltd. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later version of the OS. Now that you’ve come to know it’s an app, you might be thinking that it’s not the same as a manager. But believe me; the simplicity its interface offers is even better than talking to a human.
The app can take hold of maximum 3 jobs at a time which are more than sufficient. First, you need to fill in the required details for each job. The details include the normal working rates, overtime rates, holiday rate, etc. Then for every job, you define different shifts. You can choose through a variety of symbols for the shifts so that you may distinguish the different shifts you have on a particular day. For each shift, you have to define your normal working time, overtime, lunch time, etc. which will help in calculating your total income.
There is an in-app calendar that you may use to assign the different shifts. The initial assigning procedure may take some time but after that it will be a breeze for you to manage your schedule. The user interface is very simple and smart with all the navigation tabs available on the top and you may check out the ‘list’ tab as well for better detailed layout.
As I already said, the app is available for $0.99 in the App Store which is just the right price for it. The app has been made for people to simplify their schedule and it does exactly that. But it needs to be noted that only if your shift schedule is pre-defined over a long period of time, the app is useful. Otherwise, it will become very difficult for you to change the details every time.
