If you’re trying to reduce your weight, then it’s a long-term process. You just can’t think of going L from XXL overnight. A constant motivation is required. But more than anything else, you need to keep a control on your diet and by control, I mean a strict control. Alongside, you need to exercise as well. So it’s a combination that you’re looking for and a perfect combination is very rare to find. That’s mainly because you never know what your intake is and therefore you’re unaware of how much you should exercise to burn out the excess calories and fats in your body. If you could follow your diet plan and even adjust to any changes, then it would have surely helped you a lot. Your gym instructor can’t follow you everywhere but your mobile can. So I’m thinking about a mobile dietician cum trainer. Got my point?

I am talking about the latest Android app called Calorie Counter Macros Diet that has been developed by Joemama Soul App. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 3.0 or any later version of the OS.

With this app on your phone, you can keep a track of your intake of calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins and fibres. But first you have to enter the dishes you’re eating on a regular basis. While adding each dish to the database, you must specify its calorific value, protein value, fat, carbs and fibre values, sugar, vitamins and other such stats. You must also define the quantity of that particular dish you consume per serving. If you want to avoid this process, you can copy/paste nutrition facts from the internet directly as well. You can Google search for it right from the app. But in any case, you have to create your own database and it’s really helpful as you’re not relying on any false information from an unreliable source.

You can create a daily log of the dishes you consume and a corresponding exercise meter will tell you how long you have to work out in the gym. This way you can keep a balance maintained and you’re never out of sync. In fact, there are points given to you based on your daily performance called “C-Points” which increase or decrease accordingly. So the more C-Points you have, the better you’re doing.

No internet connection is required for this app. As said earlier, you will add dishes to the database on your own. You can Google search for them if you want but it’s not necessary. Moreover, there are no ads in this app. So a big headache is already out of the menu. What’s more is that this app is available for free in the Play Store. So I don’t see any excuses for you to ignore this app. The interface is very well defined, simplified and organized for better usability. But if you still have any doubts, check out the app and they’ll be gone.

Pros: intuitive UI; no internet connection required; C-points to measure your daily performance; no ads; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
