Going underwater is a completely different feeling and if you’ve ever done deep diving in sea water, then you’ll totally understand what I’m saying. But if we revive our view from the movie Finding Nemo, there are many problems that these sea creatures have to undergo. Similar to the kidnapping case in Finding Nemo, here also the sea monsters are trying to catch the baby fishes to teach them pick their noses and eat with dirty fins. To save them, one of the latest scientific developments is put to battle by the fish people known as the Aquator. This submarine is launched into the sea which is loaded with powerful cannon so that these sea monsters can be killed and the aquatic life can be saved. Now it’s your duty to sail this Aquator through all the difficulties and emerge out as a hero.
The story belongs to an iOS app going by the same name as the submarine i.e. Aquator. The app has been developed by Vacata AG. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 2.3 or any later version of the OS and measure around 18 MB on your SD card.
The gameplay is as simple as the story is. You have to do nothing but get in your submarine and gear up to kill all those monsters. You will be shooting them up with help of your cannon but they will also be attacking you. So it’s a two-side fire. Your cannon shots may change if you collect a power in your way. Then your range will diversify and you’ll be able to shoot more enemies in a single shot.
Though the graphics are good, the whole setup doesn’t seem to be too exciting. There are some small monsters and a big monster to face you all the time. The small monsters are easy to defeat but the big monsters take time and may be the reason for your defeat most of the times. But the sounds of your cannon are really old time. I think they were used in the first part of star wars and since then they haven’t been used. They sound too childish and far from real. Still I don’t find any reason for the developer to use them.
Although there is a championship option as well and you have to sign-in for that, I couldn’t figure it out as it didn’t run after trying 2-3 times. So I would say that for me, there’s just one option to play a continuous game and nothing else. It really would have been amazing if I could get any stage game where I could play from stage to stage and track my progress. So overall, this can be a much better than it is now.
The app is available for free in the Play Store. If you want to kill some time, this might be a good option for you.
