So suddenly you’re a super hero who’s everybody’s hope. What will be your strategy? Would you be aggressive and on the frontline or will you take a step back and focus on the defense? There are many such questions to answer and the only way to find them is to face the situation itself. So let’s get straight into the battlefield and protect our home!
I’m talking about the latest iOS app called Drone Invaders that has been developed by Bigosaur. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS.
Drone Invaders is an old-school game with pixel-art like graphics. But this game is as addictive as it’s simple. You’re controlling a big laser gun turret that you have to aim at these drones and shoot them up. But these invaders are large in number and you have to be quick in action. Just tap the screen where you want to aim and shoot. A swipe will raise the shield and in no case can you allow an alien drone to pass you by because that would mean the end of the game.
This classic game is very challenging indeed. The drones will be coming from everywhere and you’ll soon be surrounded by them like a swarm of bees. No matter if your strategy is of attack or defense, these drones will always be attacking you. After every 10 levels, you’ll encounter a boss who will be like a sum of all the battles you’ve fought so far. There are 14 such boss levels and the challenge keeps getting more and more difficult as you proceed up the game and soon it’d become a “mission impossible” for you to crack each level. But if you keep upgrading your weapons and shields gradually, we can call it a fair fight.
Apart from this usual gameplay, there are many daily and weekly challenges that you can be a part of. These challenges earn you rewards and there are many missions that you can complete anytime. So whenever you enter the game, there’s always some pending work on the table and it keeps you busy.
The game is classic in build with simple graphics and it works. There’s no irrelevant glitter neither is there any ostentatious attempt by the developers. The game offers vivid elements including 20+ different alien types. So there’s a lot on offer here.
So overall I’d say that Drone Invaders is an amazing time-killer that’s available for $1.99 in the App Store.
