So the story goes like this. There was an ancient temple on the outskirts of a village that was believed to be possessed by dead bodies and lots of traps. A tourist came by exploring the place and wanted to visit the temple as well. He had heard about a golden skull placed inside the temple and was in search of it. The villagers asked him to avoid the temple and told him the related stories. But the tourist did not believe in any such story and went inside the temple. Now that he is inside the temple, he realized that he’s in a big trouble but wants to find the skull as well. So what you have to do is guide through the multi-storey temple and get him the skull. Let’s see if you can survive this treasure hunt or not.
The story belongs to the latest iOS app called Temple Tour HD. The app has been developed by Christian Riess. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
You’ll be proceeding through the treasure hunt floor by floor. Starting with the top floor, you’ll be going down and the deeper you go, the harder it will become to touch the next floor. Talking about the difficulties, then there are dead bodies walking, sliding floors, lasers and many hidden traps. But not only do you need to survive these traps, you have to keep the explorer’s spirit alive. So you have to collect the gold coins and gems as well while searching for the exit door. Also, you need to collect photos of different monuments, plants, etc to add to your collection. Collecting these coins and gems is also important because you can shop life-saving items with these such as flashlight, compass to show you the way to exit, lives, etc.
From the graphics point of view, the developers have done a decent job. They are not high end but the game is not intended that way anyways. The clothing of the tourist is really funky and exactly what we see around us. In fact, the walk of the tourist is also very funny; so there’s a little bit of fun quotient as well. As you first step into the temple, you know that something dark possesses this place and the terror has just started. The creatures have been designed in the best possible way and keeping the adventure quotient high. The lighting also strengthens the horror effect. The traps really seem to work as they are spontaneous just like in a Tomb Raider movie.
The app is available for free in the App Store. If you’re feeling bored or haven’t experienced any adventurous journey in your life, you can start with this one.
Pros: decent graphics; lots of adventurous stuff; many levels of suspenseful gameplay; free.
Cons: none.
