Some games are easy to start with. Today we’re going to talk about one such game. It’s called Word Trace. The game is very simple. You are given a given number of columns of words. The height of the columns may be different and they contain different words randomly placed one over another. Now there’s a highlighted row piercing through them containing one word from each column. At the start of the level, it may all seem to be meaningless and irregular. But if you carefully look through the words, one from each column, you’d find that there is something meaningful hidden behind and you have to take it out and put in the highlighted row. So you have to move the blocks of words up or down till you find the correct word. It’s that simple!

But most of the games which are so simple are rather very difficult once you clear the first few hurdles. Initially, the words would be short and they’d be easy to pick up. They’re very “usual” words that we use in our regular life. But as you proceed further, the stakes are raised and soon you find yourself solving a puzzle that you have no idea about. There can be situations where you’ve found the word but you don’t know exactly what it means and you skip to the next combination. So the game is not as easy as it sounds at the first place.

Word Trace has enough content to make sure you never spend a minute of your life feeling bored. There are 16 different categories that you can choose from and these cover different spheres of our life such as Astronomy, Animals, Birds, Food, Music, Math, Geography, etc. Each category further has multiple levels up to 40, 50 or even 60+. So once you’ve started, there’s no stopping down.

The developers of Word Trace have followed a simple advice: keep everything simple. They’ve not attempted anything too ostentatious or too colorful for this game. They’ve kept the contrast down but managed to keep it graceful. The colors are bright but they won’t flare out like glitter. The game works perfectly smooth and glitch-free. The gameplay is so addictive that you’d be asking for more after you’ve cleared all the levels.

So I’d say that Word Trace is a game that you or your children both can play. On the children’s part, the game is educational and full of fun. What better way can you find to teach them difficult words? For you, it can be a revision exercise but yes some words would obviously be new to you as well. So overall, it’s a win-win situation for all.
