Every year at Christmas a whole range of new and updated iPhone apps are bought out themed around the festive season. There are so many of them that it is hard to know which to download and which to avoid. Here is my selection of the best seasonal apps for this year.

Crazy Penguin Christmas:

This crazy penguin catapult game has over 50 different levels and will keep you entertained for hours. The evil polar bears are out to ruin Christmas and it is your job to save Santa and his elves and restore the festive cheer. There are 4 difficulty levels for you to get to grips with and lots of new features such as explosive power ups and sky diving play. The controls are extremely easy to master and the big band Christmas tunes that play in the background are a really nice touch.

iChristmas:

If you are someone who goes out carol singing during the Christmas season then you will love this fun little Christmas carols app. Essentially it is a carols song book and jukebox for your iPhone. It contains the lyrics for over 100 Christmas carols and means that you don’t have to take any heavy song books out carolling with you.  As well as playing the tunes to all of your favorite songs and carols, this app also have a jingle bells sound effect which you can shake in time with the music for an extra festive touch. Don’t shake it too violently though or you may have to make use of your mobile phone insurance!

Christmas Camera:

Kids will love to play with this app over the Christmas holidays and capture some fun pictures of those special moments. It is a simple camera app that allows you to edit your pictures and give them a Christmas make over. Whether that is adding a Santa beard on to a picture of dad or turning mum in to an elf, it will definitely make the whole family smile. You can share your photos to various social networking sites straight from the app or have them printed and shipped worldwide!
These are just three great apps that are available for the iPhone this Christmas!
