Have you ever been to a general store? Sorry, that’s a silly question to ask. Of course, we all have visited a general store sometime. It can be to buy a new notebook for your homework or to buy a new racket for your badminton practice. There are so many things available in a general store that sometimes a question arises as to how they manage all that! I mean a customer can ask for anything and as the shopkeeper you must know the right address to all the stuff that you have. But that’s not a one-man-job and that’s why most such shopkeepers have helpers who keep an account of all the things. But unfortunately, Mr. Maurice’s assistant has twisted his ankle and therefore Mia has volunteered to run his errands. Would you like to assist her in this adventurous journey full of fun and some interesting lessons!

I am talking about the latest iOS app called Mia-The Happy Helper that has been developed by Kutoka Interactive. The app is compatible with iPad only and requires iOS 4.3 or any later version of the OS.

Mia-The Happy Helper is a fun and interactive app that invites your children to come, play and solve some puzzles with this cute mouse called Mia. Each journey is described into a scene and each such scene is an opportunity to learn something new that will not only be a part of his curriculum but also help him grow mentally. So when your child is being asked about the things that are hidden inside a room, his mind is curious but also working hard to fit the clues in the right pieces of the puzzle and solve it. It requires both observational and conclusion skills and are mandatory for a growing child to develop at the right time. Other than that, there are counting problems and I really liked the addition of music and rhythm. Introduction to music at such an age is either completely theoretical or completely professional. But here, it’s pure fun and that’s how we should celebrate music!

The app has some stunning visuals on offer. Once the scene is open to the eyes of your children, they’ll be immersed deep into it. It’s like you’re watching a cartoon on TV but now you’re a part of it. I really like the way they craft everything around us into a sweet melody and this tune strikes a chord with every child. Moreover, there’s a surprise element on each stage whether it be the nature or the hidden items or a new sound they’ve never heard before. So it’s like a new world that has just opened its gates for them to enjoy till they finally get bored or grow up (which is more likely to happen).

The app is available for free in the App Store. However, there are some features limited to the premium version which is available for $2.99.

Pros: stunning visuals; fun-loving, challenging and interesting games; educational activities; free.

Cons: none.
