Tim, a handsome man, was walking across the street when Biff, the villain of our story, started bullying him. After several failed attempts of avoiding him, Tim was finally rescued by an old man who took Tim inside his shop. It was a mysterious place and more enigmatic was a machine placed in one corner that the old man revealed. But as soon as Tim went near it, a girl came out of it, caught Tim by his collar and dragged him inside. The girl is Tina who’s finding the key to a magical puzzle and now Tim is also a part of this labyrinth. But Biff hasn’t quit the chase yet and he’s too entered this world with his evil intentions. So are you up for the challenge?

I’m talking about the latest iOS app called Maze Fiesta that has been developed by Full Game Ahead. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.1 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Maze Fiesta is a puzzle spread across 23 worlds and 700 levels. It’s a journey where you come across different people, communities, places and each such event comprises 3-4 levels. Your aim in every level is straight-forward: help Tim and Tina cross the road. But as you might have guessed by now, the road is incomplete. It has missing pieces that you have to put back as if repairing several patches at a time.

The initial levels might sound a bit-too-easy for your consideration. But soon the road networks become much complex and now you first have to re-imagine the road-map and only then can you proceed with the right pieces. You’ll be provided tiles to choose from lying in the lower part of the screen. But if at any time, you run out of required pieces, there’s a spin button which replaces the current slot with a new one.

Wait a minute! Have you forgotten about Biff? He won’t be leaving you so easy. He’s always on your construction-site with a new destruction plan on paper waiting to be implemented. So while you’re building the road, you have to be quick. Biff will block the road or tear it apart and you’ll have to fill the recesses back. But Biff never stops and he’ll do it again. So the cycle continues and the end result of this to-and-fro process leads to extra moves used by you to complete the puzzle. Remember, you have limited moves for every puzzle and therefore you must use them by care. By the way, you can use bombs to swipe Biff away for some time.

The graphics of the app are lurid i.e. colourful and full of spark with a touch of glossiness. The glorifying story running in the backdrop of the puzzle is truly amazing and there’s always an element of suspense of what’ll happen next in that story. The gameplay itself is very gripping, addictive but challenging. So tighten your belts before you take this journey.

Overall, Maze Fiesta is an amazingly woven story-puzzle. There’s also a chance to earn some real cash. The app is available for free in the App Store. So grab your share now!

Pros: lurid graphics; gripping storyline; addictive gameplay; 23 worlds; 700 challenging levels; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
