The life of a magician is like a dream. What an illusionary world it is for him! But is it really illusionary for him or us? He always knows what the crux is behind the transparent sheet that lies in between him and his spectators clapping with open in mouth in vow of his unbelievable tricks. They never know what’s going inside that small head. How does he do that? The question pops up in every mind in the audience and there’s a very obvious answer waiting for them, “He’s a magician”. The life of a magician is an irony in itself. He’s performing his tricks in front of thousands of people and surrounded by them at other times, but he’s always in curtains. You can never see the real him and that’s what the actual magic is. So let’s celebrate such a magical story!
I am talking about the latest iOS app called Lumberjack Magician that has been developed by chewingapps ltd. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
Lumberjack Magician is not quite the app that you might have expected. Yes, there’s a magician as the title says and he has a magic stick as well and as per the gameplay, there is a tree right in the middle with branches sticking out. Now what can be the connection between this tree and the magic wand? Well, the magic stick helps you to make the tree trunks disappear and that’s what your job is. But while these trunks are being disappeared, you have to make sure that you don’t get hit by a bush because if it happens, then you will vanish.
The game is very simple to play but difficult to master. The gameplay is similar to many old-school games where you had to move the player either left or right to avoid the obstacles. Here, you’ll make the bushes disappear by tapping at the screen. If you tap on the right side, the player will come to the right side of the tree and same goes for the left tap. When a bush disappears, new ones come and after some time, it becomes quite addictive.
Like the old-school gameplay, the developers have used old-school graphics as the whole game is based on pixel art. I really liked the colours used and especially that smart magician who really looks good in different shirts that you unlock. There are four different environments as well. It’s really a fun game that you can play all time long. Share your scores on Facebook and let your friends taste the new addiction of the town. You’ll love it, they’ll love it and it’s all a lovely experience.
