If you just spin your head around, the first thing that you might see will be a Hashtag (#). I don’t think the word needs any description. Any topic or subject that’s trending on Twitter carries a hashtag. Whether it’s the latest twerking video by Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana or the latest quote from US Presidential Elections, they’ve got an address on Twitter and that address is marked by this Hashtag. The more a particular tweet is retweeted, the more trending that particular hashtag is. So it’s a great tool of marketing. Not commercially, but even if you want some “extra” followers on say your Instagram page, this is a pretty handy tool. So if you can learn how to capitalize on the trending hashtags, this is all you need. But first, you need to find out what the trending hashtags are. Right!
So here we have the latest iOS app that just does the same. The app is called Hashtap and has been developed by Chris Hayes. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 8.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Say you’re uploading a picture of yours watching “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” with your friends. Now there are hundreds of tags that you can add to it: The name of the movie itself, Tom Cruise, movietime, etc. But do you have any clue how many of them are actually useful to your purpose. It might be the case that these are the most trending and it’s also an opportunity that these are standing at the bottom of the sea. So you are clueless and that’s where Hashtap comes to the rescue.
What it does is gives you a list of all hashtags that are in circulation right now around a particular topic. The moment you enter the search button, many bubbles of different size will appear on the screen containing the hashtag. The bigger the size of the bubble, the more popular it is and therefore the more beneficial it will be for you. Just tap on the particular bubble you need and it will be copied on to clipboard. You can add as many as you want in a similar fashion and once you’re done, just post it. Hashtap gives you the most updated results. To verify, you can even double tap and the list will be refreshed.
I must say that Hashtap does the job very quickly. It gives you the latest trending hashtags on a tap. The interface is neat, clean and beautiful. The bubbles have been incorporated in a creative manner and give you a visual measure as well.
