There are so many daily tasks and events within a family that sometimes it becomes difficult for a single person to remember all of them. For example, let’s imagine that you have to bring medicine for your child. Now if you as the head of the family forget it due to some tiring meeting, then it becomes a trouble. It would have been nice if someone other could remind you of it for example your wife. So when there are so many things in common within a family, why don’t we have such a common thread binding us all? Maybe that’s what Hapimomi thought while taking out this new app in the App Store. So let’s check it out!
I am talking about the new iOS app called Hapimomi developed by Hapimomi. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPod and requires iOS 5.0 or later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
The app consists of a number of different tools which can be very useful for a family. The different tools are sharing, organizing and planning. On the top, it caters as a private social network for your family. Only the allowed members can be a part of it. Similar to your Facebook Wall, this app consists of a wall as well. You can post on the wall of other members and there are all the notifications of any upcoming events so that you may not ignore them.
The other things are shopping list, diary, phonebook, calendar and to do list. As for a shopping list, you can enter all the different products to be bought and then anyone who will buy any product of them will unmark that particular product so that anyone else doesn’t bring up the same product again. One of the most amazing things was the shared calendar. It consists of all the events and you can also see notifications from different categories separately. Then you can see the calendar either weekly or monthly, as per your requirements. One thing that I found very interesting was the diary. I mean a personal diary is something that everyone knows about but a family diary is something very different. I really liked the fact that you will be sharing your stories with your family and it is a pretty good tool to share your moments with your family and strengthen the bond which keeps on getting weaker and weaker otherwise.
The app is available for free in the App Store and I think it’s a perfect tool to spend some time with your family even if you’re not with them. Just like friends, if there can be personal groups and networks for families, then what else could have been better!
Pros: intuitive UI; fashionable controls; share, organize and plan; free.
Cons: there are already many services like family groups available on other chatting services. But still other features like family diary would make it unique.
