Since its first foot on the web, Facebook has evolved a lot and maybe that’s why it’s still the best in the business. We first had Orkut but when nothing new came and therefore people shifted to Facebook and they’re still there. One of the latest features that Facebook introduced was the addition of cover photo alongside the traditional profile picture. It was difficult to figure out at the start what it was meant for. A profile picture was enough to show who we are. But pretty soon the idea was clear to the users and they started displaying different photos. While some used another photo of their own, others used quotes or anything they like or might depict their personality. So let’s make it a little more interesting. I am talking about the latest iOS app called Covery. The app has been developed by FiveToApp. The app is compatible with iPad only and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS.
When it comes to customization of your Facebook covers, the app has got plenty of options you can try out. But first, you got to load the photo which can be either any preloaded photo available within the app or any new picture you would like to load from your camera roll. The preloaded photos come under many different categories such as Travel, Industrial, Interactive, Flowers, Tasty, etc. Just select any picture and let your artistic brush spread the colours. There are many different and interesting effects such as stretch or ripped apart. Also, to decorate your picture over the top, you can select from over 80 fonts and 120 stamps. I was recently searching for some online fonts dictionaries and I was surprised to see most of them included here.
You can also add any quotes you like though there are many quotes available within the app related to different niches such as love, inspiration, etc. So whenever a good thought comes to your mind, you know where you got to head to make the most of it. The app is pretty intuitive to use as well as controls are simple. Moreover the app is available for free. So now you can enjoy a new cover photo everyday without any penny to be spent.
But despite so many positives, there are some negatives as well. The app is free but not completely. Only three categories of frames are free and rest have a price tag attached to them. Individual packs charge anything from $0.99 to $1.99 though you can buy the unlimited access for $3.99. So if you’re okay with the pricing, I think it’s one of the best apps out there and with the Facebook crowd increasing day by day, I think the developers are going to have a blast!
Pros: intuitive UI; plenty of stuff to play with; free.
Cons: most of the stuff is paid.
