You can search for just what you want to listen to and also pick where you wish to listen to and you will be provided with a vast collection of radio stations to pick between. If you are a music fan who is looking for new content to listen to or is not sure about your taste of music, this free app is totally worth giving a shot. It is currently available in the App Store for free download. All you need is an iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone with iOS 7.0 or later versions. Once you download and launch the app, you have so many ways to stream music. To begin with, you can pick a genre or a type of music of your choice-ranging from Alternative to Rhythms and Blues to Psychedelic Rock and more. Another option is to pick a specific location to access local radio stations in that area. This will help you keep yourself updated with local news. You could also select sections such as “Top Hits Playing Right Now”, “Top Artists”, “Local” and “Suggestions”. The app also has a few internet-only radio stations that you can pick.

On the other hand, if you know what music exactly you are in the mood for, there is a search window where you can enter the name of an artist or band or song or stations. With so many stations available, there is a high chance that there will always be a station that is playing just what you need at that moment.

The app comes with a set of other features that sets it apart. Audials Radio has a huge database with over 120,000 video and audio podcasts that you can access on the fly. There are over a million episodes for you to access. You can search them by keywords and also browse various sections or episodes. You can queue up all episodes and watch them in sequence too. One of the latest features is recording of radio stations for later playback. This is similar to the Windows and PC versions of the app and is a feature unique to it.

The user interface is really easy to use and intuitive. You can mark your favourite stations and organise the list of your favourite ones to suit it for the right occasion. You can also ‘pin’ genres, artists and countries to your home view so that your favourite tabs are easily accessible. There is also a sleep timer built within the app along with a car mode for the iPhone. All said and done, the app offers you too much for a free app. It’s not worth missing this one.
