Transferring data between your Android device and your PC can be hell of a job. There are two options: Bluetooth and USB. Looking at the speed of Bluetooth transfer, it can only be recommended for small files. You don’t expect to transfer movies at such a rate. Now the other option of USB is not very simple as well. First, you need to connect your phone with your PC over a small wire. It’s so small that if you have to receive a call, you’ll have to disconnect it and any data transfer going on would be lost. So you’ll have to start from scratch again and therefore if you have any friends, this is not for you. So what you’re left with is nothing or is there any third possibility as well? Yes, there is one and it seems to be the best of all.

Web PC Suite is the name of that third and final option and it’s an Android app developed by GeekSoft. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 2.2 or any later version of the OS. So are we ready to ride this new machine?

Web PC Suite allows you to connect your Android device with your PC/Laptop over internet. If you’re standing in a Wi-Fi zone, this app has a big role to play. When you want to connect the two devices, the app will generate a URL that you have to open in the web browser of your PC. You can also scan the QR code. Whichever option you choose, a web page will open up with your phone’s SD card contents.

The menu consists of many different folders on the right hand side and there are categories on the left. So if you want to check out all the music files, just click on music and all the mp3 files will appear. Then you can listen to them online or you can download them to your PC as well. You can even upload any new files from your PC if you want to. The same goes with the videos as you can play them live, download them or upload new ones. There is a files section where you can find all the apps installed on your phone’s system. You can copy these apps to your PC for a backup or you can uninstall them if you want to. You can also install new apps which will get added to your phone later. The gallery has all the images and while you can view them, you can copy them as well as edit them and save the changes. So it’s like an online file manager overall.

The UI of the app is simple to use. Moreover, the design and outlook is quite impressive. It’s far better than your old PC Suite look. The transfer speed is good and it’s all hands-free.

The app is available for free in the Play Store. So don’t forget to check it out!

Pros: intuitive UI; impressive design; wireless operation; download/upload files; edit online; install/uninstall/back up apps; free.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
