With so many messaging apps in the Play Store, it has become very easy to stay connected with your friends and family. Earlier, we had SMS services which by the way are still on for many users. The problem with SMS services is that they are way too traditional and “old-style” to be used. It’s like a postcard service and when you have telephones, why’d you use that! Also, they’re kind of expensive on your pocket because you need to buy a separate pack for SMS service. But if you’re already paying for your mobile internet pack, it doesn’t make sense, does it? But if there can still be old-Nokia customers alive on the planet Earth, surviving wholly on SMS service is still understandable. But we can’t cut people from our friends’ circle for that reason, right! So we need to mix the two platforms and guess what we got!
It’s Now Messenger, the new Android app developed by Now RTT that I’m talking about. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 4.2 or any later version of the OS.
The developers of Now Messenger are well-familiar with the fact that the market is already dominated by many popular messengers and they’ve taken some firm and innovative steps to tackle that “ball-in-other-court”. First, there are two modes: Real-time and SMS mode. So if there’s an out-of-court person who doesn’t have this app, you can communicate with him using SMS service; both sending and receiving SMS in the app directly (SMS mode). So this saves you the headache from going back and forth switching between your app and phone’s messenger.
In Real-time mode, you can communicate with friends both individually and in groups. There’s no group admin and therefore every member of a group shares the same rights. Now you don’t have to ask your group admin each time to add/remove a particular person. Moreover, you can edit sent messages as well as take back your images/videos if the receiver hasn’t downloaded them yet. So you do have a chance to correct your mistakes here! Apart from that, the app supports voice messages up to 30 seconds and also allows you to block contacts, if you want to.
The interface is user-friendly and beautiful in design. You can delete messages and conversations with just a swipe to the left/right. Moreover, it’s important for the face of an application to be nice and “easy” on your eyes because you’ll be spending more time with it than your girlfriend. So Now Messenger comes with a customizable interface where you can change the background picture of chat station to your wish. But the cropping option is not available at the moment.
Overall, I found Now Messenger to be an amazing app that’s easy to use and custom-tailored to fit everybody’s needs and requirements. The app is available for free in the Play Store. So what are you waiting for! Go for it NOW!
