I don’t know about the rest but I often use the same password for most of my accounts. Not that my password is too high tech and can’t be tracked by anybody, it’s just I can’t remember all of them at the same time. If I have 10 different passwords for my 10 different accounts, then maybe I need 10 different brains as well to remember them. Or I need a safe place where I can place all of my secrets and be worry free. But where would I find such a place?

I guess I’ve found just the right address to keep my secrets at and it’s the latest Android app called HighCrypt Password Manager LT that has been developed by HIGHCRYPT. The app is compatible with all the Android devices running Android 4.0 or any later version of the OS. So it’s mostly limited to the latest Android devices only.

HighCrypt Password Manager is a high-end solution to security problems. The most relieving feature of this app is that it uses 256-bit encryption which is mostly used in banks and army. So you can expect your secrets to be in safe hands. It’s very easy to use as well. There are some pre-made templates in the app such as Email account, Credit card, Insurance, Bank account, etc. When you’ll open anyone of the options, you’ll find that there’s not just space for password but much more. You can add notes or you can add complete details related to the account. For example, in case it’s a credit card account, then you can enter the password as well as details such as credit card number, CVV number, etc. These details are though not as confidential as the password but can be useful in certain situations.

Apart from the passwords, you can also keep your personal photographs in this app. All the photographs will be encrypted and therefore one won’t be able to read them at all. The app also allows access to your Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive accounts and therefore you can sync those photos with all of your devices instantly in case you want to share them with someone else.

The UI of the app is very neat and clean. It gives you a feel of your email account a bit but is much simpler to work out with. You can create folders within the app and with over 120 icons available; you can customize them to your own preferences. For example, you can have separate folders for your personal and social photos, both of which you can’t show to your family.

Overall, this app brings not much new but quality to the table. You can download its free version with limited features or go for the full-fledged version available at Rs. 337.35 only. The choice is yours but you must try at least one of them!

Pros: customizable and intuitive UI; Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive synced; 256 bit encryption; free version available.

Cons: none.

I will give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
