Well, how many times has it happened that you’re playing Ludo with your whole family, you need number 9 to win the game, you throw the two dices in a magical style hoping that it would influence the outcome and it does when a 6 and a 3 rolls down but the dice falls off-board? You show over-excitement hoping to despise the whole family but your act is caught in-between and your turn is called off. Then there is a player among you who has a trick to change the numbers to his own suiting and does that very well at crucial stages and you can only argue continuously. Don’t you think that the game would have been much better and much transparent had the dices been neutral? There’s only one way to do that: taking control off your hands.

You don’t think that we’d ask an external referee to come and roll dices for everybody in the game; it’d be much boring that way and then the referee can too be partial if he doesn’t like your face. Whatever be the reason, we can’t hand dices into the hands of a human. So why don’t you let your phone take care of it!

I’m talking about the latest Android app called Dice App that has been developed by Nikola Kosev. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 4.0 or any later version of the OS.

Now, how does Dice App replaces your dice? It’s very simple actually. Choose the number of dices you want to play with. Then, just tap on the screen and the dices will produce a random number, as randomly as any impartial pair of hands. This way the dice never falls off the board. Second, no one can ever influence the outcome until and unless you’re playing against the developers and they’ve got it reprogrammed!

This is a very beautifully designed app. The colors are amazing; the combination of blue, red and yellow just fills the entire room with a flavor of fun. Then, it’s too simple to use. You don’t have to shake your phone like the pre-drama you perform before rolling a dice. Just tap at the screen and it’s done. Moreover, as you can choose any number of dices from 1 to 6, this app fits in for almost any game. So even if you’ve lost the dice of one game or another, this app can be a perfect replacement for all of them. No more do you have to keep your game on hold just because you can’t find the dice where you placed it last time. I hope you don’t lose your phone that often!

So overall, I’d say that Dice App is the perfect app to join in your board games. The app is available for free in the Play Store. So don’t forget to check it out!

Pros: intuitive UI; simple to use; tap and play; customizable number of dices; beautiful colors; free.

Cons: none.

I give this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
